Continental drift not only affected the land but it also moved fossil remains, this is one of the key factors to finding out how the continents have moved and where these animals/plants have moved from. During the time of Pangaea the living things were able to move freely but the breaking of the continent meant that they were separated from their original locations.
Not only were fossils found but glacial scars as well. These scars would mean that they would have been made together yet they're separated over vast distances meaning they were once joined.
